It has been brought to my attention that someone on Facebook is trying to market themselves are creating custom Bugaboo stroller covers. The images used within this closed Facebook group are my images. The group is called Bugaboo Customs, the page admin is a Nicola MacKay, THIS IS NOT ME!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PERSON!!!!!!!!! Or anyone who pretends to be me on any other website other than www.mainebabytreats.com. I ONLY SELL DIRECT FROM MY WEBSITE.

It has been almost a month since I have blogged. Where does the time go?

Well I have been SUPER busy sewing custom orders and working on new custom stroller design. Can't wait to complete and share. Anyone want to guess (or hope) which stroller model I am currently working on customizing?

As you can see from my website, at this time I am not accepting new orders. I need time to get caught up on pending order, shorten my waiting period, work on this new custom stroller cover, celebrate my daughters two birthdays AND holiday shop. I promise the moment my work load lightens, I will accept new orders.

In the meantime, I am going through "my stash" of incomplete stroller covers and will be posting a few in the Ready Made category of my website soon.

WOW! I recently visited a fabulous fabric store in Maine and found a few yards of this great multicolored disco dot fabric. This fabric has been out of print for a few years and I was soooooo excited when I found it.

When I offered this fabric on my website, it was very popular. Over the past 2 years, several wonderful customer have asked about having custom items created using this fabric. I have always felt bad having to say no.

Interesting that the day I purchased the last 2 yards of this fabric that the store had, a sweet customer had emailed me asking about this fabric. I was so excited to say yes!

I am sooooo excited I can't even stand it!!

My website shipping options and rates have been updated.

The shipping rates on my website have been something that always bothered me. It was set up as a shipping price per number of items you ordered regardless of the cost or weight of your item(s). My shipping prices were not fair to someone who wanted to order say just a sheet or bumper bar. Both of these items are nicely priced but in some cases, the shipping was more than the item itself. I was always bummed by that.

GREAT NEWS - That is no longer the case!!!!

My website now offers buyers 3 shipping rate options - First Class (slow), Priority Mail (2-3 days within the US and 5-10 business days internationally), Express Mail (1-2 days in the US and 3-5 days internationally).*

AND

The weight of the item is now considered, no more overpriced shipping costs.

I hope this post excites all of my customers as much as it does me. I feel so much better.

Aqua Owls - My littlest one loves this set

Aqua Owls has always been one of my favorite fabrics. The colors in this fabrics are so happy.

My littlest princess (2 years old) has been says, "Mama, hoo, hoo", for 2 days while I have been creating this ADORABLE custom set.

I love the look the fuschia pin dots adds to this set. There is going to be a SUPER adorable and STYLISH little one strolling around Australia in this adorable stroller set.

I decided to make this custom set a little extra special. I made the seat inlay reversible. LOVE IT! One side is aqua owls and the reverse is fuschia pin dots. Love it so much, I am going to offer reversible seat inlays on my website. How cool!

Custom set with apron
The fuschia pin dots apron adds a nice touch to this custom set. A custom apron is great for the bassinet of the stroller but also great for the toddler seat as well. We use our on slightly cool days when a footmuff is not quite necessary but perhaps a light blanket is. It is also great to use with little ones who drop toys, they get caught in the apron and do not get dirty - hooray!

With a set this adorable, a matching undercarriage bag was a must!

Since moving from ebay and etsy in March to my very own website, I have been blessed with many, many orders from new and previous customers. I have been BUSY!
As my blog and website show, I am first and foremost a wife and mom. These two “job titles” mean the world to me. I sew during nap times and then about 6 hours a night after our girls go to bed, which is about 7:30 PM.

Sewing custom stroller covers is my passion. I enjoy sewing each and every one of them. I take great pride in my work and ensure that each piece is PERFECT! That takes time. My heart feels wonderful when I get emails from my customers who have recently received their order in the mail and they thank me for my perfect work and enclose an image of their sweet precious ones enjoying their stroller adorned with my work. Perhaps the best email arrived about 3 weeks ago from a customer in Singapore. It reads,

I just received the package this evening and it was WELL worth the wait!

The embroidery of my little girl's name was beautifully and intricately done and the materials used were really impressive. The canopies turned out to be lovely and so much more than I'd hoped it'd look.

Oh, did i mention that you paid every attention to detail and the stitching is fab? Even hubby was impressed!
I'm sure my daughter will love her keepsake when she gets older.
What I create is a form of art, not an assembly line, mass produced product. Each order I complete is unique and personalized for the family who ordered it. I wish I could multiply myself to complete orders faster or not need sleep some days so that I can complete more orders but well, that is not realistic.
I enjoy working with each and every one of my customer designing the perfect stroller for their little ones. To show my appreciation to all of my existing and new customers for 4 days only, I will be offering 10% off new orders. Following the 4 day promotion, I will be closing my website for the remainder of 2010. This will allow me time to complete all of my orders as well as enjoy the year end holidays with my family. Our girls are 2 & almost 4, they are going to be soooooo much fun this holiday season. I will reopen on January 4th. It is my absolute goal when reopening that ALL orders placed before October 31st will be complete which will result in a shorter ordering time for 2011.

This weekend is my youngest daughters second birthday. I can not believe she is 2 already.

Birthday Twin Girls in California

I think I have one of the best jobs. As I have shared many times before, I am a mom and wife, and feel very blessed to say that. I get to work at home all while being with our girls, ages 1 and 3 (almost 2 and 4).

I meet the most wonderful people in my line of work. Some send me photos of their precious ones strolling in my custom creations. I love this because I love to see that my work has made a family happy and feel stylish. I also love to see my customers surroundings, landmarks, terrain, etc. Always fun.

Some of my customers stay in touch with me and ask me to do other custom work for them. One family I have known for about 6 years now, recently asked me to create tutus and hair pieces for her twin girls 3rd birthday. Their birthday theme is Minnie Mouse and she had already purchased the most adorable Minnie Mouse shirts. How cute are these shirts? Minnie Mouse is all sequins!

And now look at their new completed birthday outfits! Alike, yet different.

Hello my wonderful Maine Baby Treat followers. I am in the process of retiring some fabrics and adding new ones. I would love to hear from some of you to help me with this process. I will post a few new fabrics I am considering in a day or so and will be asking for you to vote on which fabrics I should add to my fabric selection.

In the meantime, feel free to suggest some fabrics to me. Tell me what you like! Do you want more blue fabrics, flower fabric, polka dot fabric, orange fabrics, stripes??? Please tell me!

Denim is a somewhat popular fabric choice amongst my customers. This customer changed it up a bit and chose for her canopy to be lined in an ivory cotton canvas and also asked for the stitching to be ivory. As you can see from the image, this set turned out excellent.

This adorable and super stylish custom Bugaboo Bee footmuff has a denim exterior and carib disco dots on the interior. I have created hundreds of footmuffs and this was my first request for one using denim. It looks FABULOUS!!! I think my daughter now needs one in denim, I think I will line hers with simply poppy.

There will be a very happy mommie and stylish baby in Great Britian strolling with this custom set.

The canopy is created in the candy skulls and lined in latte solid minky. The footmuff is also created in candy skulls and lined with latte minky. This footmuff is super warm and o so soft.

So I created custom Bugaboo covers and accessories daily. I use lots of different fabrics, which I enjoy. Each day is a new and exciting day because no 2 sets are alike (occassionally customers order the same thing). There are so many different fabric combinations.

Well I know I have said it a few times before but I have to say it again. This set is my favorite!

The Simply Poppy fabric is just so vibrant and the carib ta dots just adds pop to this set. The baby sporting this custom set in Florida is super stylin'.

Cameleon undercarriage bags are now available. You will still need the hard plastic bottom liner from your original undercarriage bag. If you want to order a custom undercarriage bag but do not have the plastic bottom, we can work something out, I have a few extra.
